So, a few weeks back, I wrote a post about some good movies that my husband and I watched. I have been receiving emails asking for other recommendations. So here are four. As a reminder, they are family friendly!
The first one is, the Magic of Belle Isle with Morgan Freeman. He plays the role of a novelist who lost his passion for writing. He spends a summer off at a cabin in Belle Isle and becomes friend with the neighbors. He finds his passion again by writing stories for a little girl.
The second is, Won’t Back Down. As a teacher, this movie hit home as the plot is about actual events in public school. It is an empowering drama about a single-mom and another public school teacher. They both realize that their own children are being failed by the school system and decide to take actions in order to elevate the school’s standards. Inspiring!
The third is Parental Guidance. This is a very funny and clean movie about family relationships and parenting. You will laugh and take your mind off things for an hour and a half!
The last one is The Help and is based on a best seller. This is an inspirational and courageous story about very different but amazing women in the 1960s. They come together around a writing project – one that cuts society’s rules and puts them all at risk. This is a great movie about change!
