Moving out and moving in

Posted by

This is it, we have moved out of NYC. We are now in the Washington D.C. area for the next ten months.  I will finish my doctorate (YEAH) and try to learn another language. We arrived yesterday afternoon and settled in our new apartment. The cats seem to enjoy their new place. We have a one bedroom apartment that is very spacious.

So, the movers arrived around 9 a.m. and started to box our apartment. . We put Britain and Woody at the church for the day because, knowing them, we would have probably found them in a box, in the truck going to storage.

After 8 hours of packing and loading, the movers were done. We picked up the cats and headed out to Pennsylvania for the weekend. We spent Saturday afternoon with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law and we got to see our three nephews. On Sunday, we visited the Vineyard Christian Fellowship at the Barn in Pennsylvania (http://www.vcfbarn.com/). We were reminded of living in the supernatural by the youth pastor. Talking of supernatural, we ran into a sweet lady who comes around our apartment right before we moved out. She was so happy to see us and she explained how she has been searching for God. We prayed for her. It was such a great way to leave NYC: sharing God’s love one more time.

It is time to start this new chapter. This is where I got so far today…Devotion with my husband at 6 a.m this morning, I signed up at a fitness center, grocery shopping is done, change of address is in process, and I have located the closest Whole Foods in which I can find plain coconut yogurt!
